Just a quick question, are we allowed to use square based models. I would like to use my Daemons but they are based fantasy style. If I use them they will be fully painted, based, everything is what you see is what you get ect.

Hi Guys
I have a few questions for this tournament
1. Are there still places available?
2. Is there the option of a direct deposit for those who can't get to the store or the club?
3. Am I correct in assuming that missions 1, 3 & 4 most objectives held wins?
4. for the Burn the All mission how will troops that are running away at the end of the game be treated? Mainly asking as units that are falling back are removed at the end of the game, so count as wiped out, would the just not count or would they be added to the kills of the unit that made them run away?

1. There sure is..
2. I'd have to be in store for the detail. Will post ASAP.
3. Yes
4. If you fail to kill the unit and it makes its escape off the table then you dont get to claim it.
I can see guardsmen/grots (same thing) now leering from the side of the table going "missed me, missed me, nah nah nahh"

Maybe there is a limit to how many best army comps you can win spakka, and now paypal is stopping you from getting anymore..

Starting to think so too - I had issues with comment box this time - something about invalid characters being used, although I'd only put down my name. If my name doesn't show up in the order, let me know (got the reciept from paypal here).

Damien, a couple of questions about scoring.
1. Will there be secondary missions or bonus objective or will battle points be earned purely by achieving the primary mission?
2. Will battle points be scaled by the size of the win?
Thanks

1 - no secondaries Mark, keep it simple is always a good way to be...
2 - Battle points will be scaled.

For the "Burn all mission" it says to place one of the models next to your own unit as a marker.
But what if you destroy a tank / monstrous creature or something similarly big? There might not be enough space to put it next to your unit.
Also some people might not like others handling their miniatures - Im just saying.
Is it ok to just use some paper markers or a dice to keep track of the number of kills for each unit?

May 3 2010, 03:06 AM
For the "Feed the troops" mission, can 1 unit control multiple objectives?

Dice have a tendency to get picked up and rolled I find. Paper or spare bases anything like that is fine. Its just to give your opposition a reminder of who has killed what.QUOTE(dvaston @ May 3 2010, 03:06 AM)

Of course they can, the main rulebook FAQ says you can so thats cool bananas with me

Do you have a preferred format for army lists to be sent in, or for that matter formats that you don't want?

readable

So excel, word, notepad etc is all good
I dont have army builder so none of those shenanigans..

Are grudge matches allowed for round 1?
If so Id like to challenge MarK C to a game, as weve never played against each other before.

May 12 2010, 11:19 AM
Perhaps..
It would depend on if MarKC agrees/if I think the army lists are comparable and if I remember or not.

If anyone has any questions in regards to the players pack and needs clarification, just ask here or PM me.
Yes please,
I am considering coming along with my/Nzarra's Mechanicus list but before I do I want to make sure I understand the scoring system properly...
"Any figures not painted by the player will not be considered by the TO when the army is marked."
Now, for my painting score (I certainly do expect to be ineligible for best painted and maybe player's choice) Does this mean you'll be judging the army
for my painting score just on the 4 or 5 models I have added to bring the list up to 1500? And completely ignoring the awesome conversions and paint job across the rest of the army because it's not my work?
I'm just interested in how that would impact my overall score. Assuming I choose to bring the Mechanicus, which I would like to as I'll be playing it at Terracon a fortnight later.
Thanks.
Alex

Paint scores will be like this...
1/3 - players choice ~ the more votes players give you the higher you will get here.
1/3 - TO's Choice ~ On how technically painted it is, one mini painted to awesome standards will suffice here if you were the person painting it.
Its more of a guage of what you can do.
Im very guilty myself of rushing things the week before an event after spending 3 weeks painting 5 figures.
1/3 - Checklist which includes the 3 colour minimum.
ArchonCryx
May 19 2010, 12:28 PM
So am I still able to present it for Player's choice?
