I’ve been playing the PC version for a few months now and as fun as it has been playing the AI, which seems to have a play book consisting of the cage, I wouldn’t mind real life contact.

Is there a league or regular game available at good games or somewhere similar?

Is there a hints and tips site? I used to play woodies but kind of liked the orcs and humans on the PC version. Stopped playing BBowl around the dungeon bowl re-release (does that still get played) so some f the teams look a little foreign to me.

hey big fella (8th edition isn't that bad is it?)

Firstly I'd suggest you jump over to Ausbowl, which is like the wargamerau for aussie BB'ers were you'll find more like minded people to talk with and discuss things. talkbloodbowlfantasyfootball is an international site of the same genre but with a much higher traffic again.

League wise the Sydney league (SLOBB) has just got started their next season but they also run an open league you can jump in - they play anywhere, mostly by arrangement at peoples houses. SCIBBL is run out of GW battle bunker in the CBD (meaning GW only models) - they seem to be slightly younger (high school) but they play much more regularly. There is also a blue mountains league but I'm guessing your not that far out...

Tactics wise you an look on those forums for advice while BBtactics is very good for articles as is Bloodbowl Playbook, although it hasn't been updated in a few years and and pertains to 4th ed rules, so will have slight irregularites with the current edition and links to the defunct Specialist games site tongue.gif

Hey thanks for those sites. Registered on the Ausbowl and will take a look over there.

Will try and see what the go is on the Sydney BBL for the open comp.

Battle bunker may be a bit of a hurdle with GW only models, if I remember correctly the Blood bowl range wasn’t exactly inspired. I don’t have a team at this point so will look around – which manufacturers do good elf, orc and human teams?

Thanks for the tips site as well, much more useful than the computer game.

I really should get around to doing a proper little guide to be stickied but to help out quickly while I'm at work here are some names to google: (there may be a bit of overlap, especially with Impact! as he resells a lot of stuff for the small mini co's).

Shadowforge
Impact Miniatures
Gaspez-Arts
Neomics
Goblin Forge
Rolljordan
Black Scorpion Miniatures

HassleFree Miniatures

There may be more I've forgotton too...

Murishido, you're aware you might not have to buy a new team yeah?

I know when I first started (hell even NOW) I built teams out of my Warhammer bitz box, which I know you have a sizeable version of. Hell, you can use normal WH pieces with no dramas too.

Otherwise... iaphyr pretty much nailed it, so that should help smile.gif

Thanks I thought that might be a little frowned upon which should give me the four teams I’m thinking of trying human, orcs, dark elves and woodies.

Even so I do want schmick looking teams with my guys/gals/indeterminate genders decked out in Denver Broncos soda pop orange and blue.

But yeah mate, you'll see on the league section of Ausbowl that there are a LOT of leagues out this way. So no dramas there.

You've picked a good time to come onto the astrogranite bud smile.gif

And to punctuate the post: my converted Gobbo team, the Sin Bin Pylons:

See, you CAN make a team out of just bitz biggrin.gif

+1 Morgy. I've recently (3 or so months ago) moved to Syd, so I'm happy to have a game. Also, those gobbos need the Euc practice.
