Ok so I final got around to getting DOW2.
Installed it last night, and Steam started downloading some updates.
Went to play the game and it start it was unavalible as it was downloading update.
So I looked at the download list and it said that is had to download 6 GBs of data for the update. 3 GB was already downloaded before it started.

Is this right. 3GBs if updated. WHAT THE....

I have wireless internet so it will take me for ever to download this.
Have I done something wrong.
Please Help.

The 'update' is the entire content of Chaos Rising (as you need it to play against those factions in multiplayer). If you aren't going to play online set it to not update in steam.

How do i set that? I tried pausing the download, and open the game, but is said something about the game not being avaliable now?
Also can you play DOW2 off line? Got other steam games that work fine offline?

Right click it in steam > properties > updates and set it to never update.

OK just finished downloading all the updates, pressed the play button, something was going to happen,
and then the CRASH REPORT screen comes up and tells me i cant play something is wrong.
I am p**Sed off. Anyone got any clues or had the same problems.

I had a creashed report after two or so missions the other day, bit I started it again the next day (I got over playing it) and it picked up from where the crash happened

Ok, put looking on the net last night, tried about 5 different things and still not working.
Have other people had problems with the games installed off the DVD?

I did when it was first released - on the Angels Gate mission - but if you've patched it I'm not sure why it would still be happening.

I'd try having a look through the Relic forums. They're pretty helpful there.
