Might try to get a game or two of 8th in before I leave and was looking at this list

I like it alot very different from usual High elf fare. Perhaps find away to fit in the banner of sorcery, cause if your going magic heavy which with an archmage seems to be the case then it's great insurance against low rolls for the winds of magic.

Apart from that it's abit hard to tell in the abstract. The real worry would seem to be stone throwers etc which could really ruin your day and the only counter you have is the two eageles and maybe the odd spell if you shove everything up fast enough.

It is quite similar to my own HE list I have on a parallel thread. However I have gone for straight Spear and used the saved points for some cav, plus archers instead of RBTs.

I think the idea of big chunky blocks of Elven infantry striking first with Mages to buff their combat power should work well in the new rules.

I agree with the comments about the Banner of Sorcery instead of the War Banner. I am trying to fit it into my own list.

Rhys, i think you need some punch. Outside of the white lions and the BSB everything is s3 or s4. Some chariots, cav or another fighting character would be the go.

One thing I've noticed is that 20 elves is fine for the elites (they're tough enough) but on the core infantry you need 25 min, as at 20 they take 1 casualty and they are down 1 rank and will struggle to maintain steadfast against cheaper more numerous infantry (think orcs, marauders, even DE spearmen).

Okay, here is what i would change.

As the other have suggested I would make the core units at least 25 strong. If you take 2 units of 25 sea guard and then drop the white lions to 14 that would give you enough points to add a lion chariot or a unit of dragon princes, while still having enough ranked units.

I've used LSG is all my games and atm there aren't that great. They look good on paper but they actually aren't that great. You'll probably be hitting on 5s for shooting before you have to reform to take a charge and that's probably by turn 2 if not 3
