After puting the question of reviving Shippycon here in Renmark to the masses at JA, there was a pretty positive reaction. As a result, I've started setting the wheels in motion...

At this stage it will be held sometime in February (for nice warm nights on the balcony, etc:D ). I'll be finding out what weekends are available tomorrow, for a more definate date. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who might have anything else on at that time to avoid clashes.

cheers

I shouldn't need to say it, but stay away from Feb 14th. Us marrieds will be out if you don't!

Yes, I reply to a lot of threads with images. That's because your posts are crap, and don't deserve anything more than a cursory Google image search.

Feb 5/6: Dauthus (group north tourney, 2000 points)
Feb 12/13: Free
Feb 19/20: My Wife's Birthday. (Also likely to be a Southern Wargaemrs tournament according to Norm)
Feb 26/27: Free
Mar 5/6: Free
Mar 12/13: Adelaide Cup (Inner Sanctum tourney)

Feb 26/27 looks like the best option.

Well, went to make a booking for Feb today, and "every" saturday til the easter long weekend is booked. 15 #%$&ing weddings armata_PDT_02.gif

They gave me the option of using the old disco room, but it's not overly flash. About the equivalent to the Naracoorte soccer club armata_PDT_10.gif

Just rang the Renmark bowling club, and they're going to get back to me. The woman that answered the phone didn't know where they kept the bookings ledger rolleyes.gif

Ok people, it's officially on.

I've got the Galaxy room (old night club venue) at the Renmark hotel secured as the venue, and there's a heap of twin share rooms available.

Does anyone out there remember what the old prices were, as I was quoted $35, but I'm not sure weather that's a night, or for the weekend?

Have also worked out a standing booking for the entertainment room where we used to hold Shippycon for every year after this one wink.gif

Will post more details as I work em' out biggrin.gif
