This is a nice starter army for people looking to get into Warmachine but are still insisting on shooting things:

This is all single colour base coats with three exceptions:

Vallejo Foundation White is used to shade the white and make the dip run off smoother parts.
Caine's back calve is a really good example, the straps are blinding Vallejo Foundation White that dip won't stick to.
In between is how dark the Skull White can get from catching the dip.
You can use this on armour plates to shade from blinding white to nigh on black while only using one colour.

Asurmen Blue wash was used on the Skull White and glopped on and left to dry.
People seem to be under the impression I shaded it. Yay for cheating!

A little Ice Blue wash around the runes on the gun. Surprised it shows through the dip. Bonus.

I ordered extra Caine arms and converted all these guys to be dual weilding pistols

Because the world is a better place with more shootang:

Two shootangs is better than one:

This is the spare parts magnetised for swapping:

This is the same 'jack stepping out on the town with his fancy new arms and a twinkle in his eye:

Stacks of Arcane Tempest Gun Mages, both old school cool poses and new detailed models:

These all have magnets on their bases so I carry them around on a magnet board from Officeworks with their cards, stops them sliding in the car:

On the to-do list is:
Another old-school unit of Gun Mages
Eiryss
Epic Eiryss
Squire
Third Hunter
Second Heavy
A Thunderhead I painted myself (the one in the background was swapped prepainted)

Happy to do a blow-by-blow tutorial when I get to them if anyone gets inspired to pick up some Army Painter and get dipping.

I know I don't use it in game it feels wrong smile.gif

I do take it out to show people your paint job though, it gets compliments.

Let me know if you ever want it back it lives safely encased in foam these days noton the magnet board.

Bugger. Now I'll have to paint the rest of them.

Good thing I cheat.
