Is this an ITS event? And do you want me to add it to the Infinity Aus Facebook page?

Yes, it's an ITS event, hence the 250.

We've received our tournament pack, including awesome trophy & patches.

Yes please, if this could be added to the aus Infinity Facebook page that would be great!

Any pledges of terrain would also be greatly appreciated!

Added to Infinity Australia Facebook and 107 people invited! Won't be able to make it to Vic for the event. But you never know in a big city.

Apparently this is full already? I went to your site and it says it only wants terrain pledged but wants to charge for it as well.

Hello everybody,
Just to introduce myself, I will be your friendly TO of the event. I have just recently started to play infinity and am by no means a rules expert. For the questions I can not answer there will be player referees.

Now we decided to make this an ITS event so for those people that have accounts can earn points, so if you don't register on the site you are fine as well as there will be non ITS based prizes anyway.

As to the current pre - registration system and table pledges. We all know that infinity is a terrain heavy endevour and I would like as many people to play as they can, to help this we decided to ask the community to loan tables for the day so more people can play. So the current tickets are for the table pledge spots, which reserves you a ticket which you still have to pay for to ensure that if you are kind enough to lend the terrain you are guaranteed a place.

In a few weeks time we will open up the main ticket section with the revised number of places based off what tables have been pledged and the ones instore. At at any time you can pledge terrain after the main tickets open up, people are also encouraged if you have suitable terrain pieces that you could bring in on the day this will also greatly help.

So basically we could run this tournament with 8 tables that Realm of Legends have pledged and be capped at 16 people. We decided that if the community is willing to pledge then why not increase it to the max and go for the largest infinity tournament in Australia.

I am currently finishing off the player pack so hopefully in the next few weeks that will also be completed.

Hope to see you there,
Daniel

I just paid for the terrain pledge last night and will be coming along and bringing either my Nomads or Morats. With those of us pledging terrain, how much did you need to constitute a terrain pledge? A full table? Half a table? Just getting prepared...

Half a table minimum please! You're welcome to bring a full table worth though if you want (or more).

We're working on our own tables as well, i'll start posting up pics as they progress.

Also, we're running an Infinity terrain building workshop in april, for anyone who'd like to learn how to scratch build terrain from found materials.

If we get more tables pledged we'll be able to open more spots for the tournament.

Thanks,
Maria

Are you just talking about terrain for on the tables. You guys already have a lot of tables. I think we could churn out a lot of tables if you used downloadable free paper craft containers. Its a bit samey but it works. Lots of jungle patches representing zero vis zones would worktoo, particularly of you house ruled them to be true zero vis that MSVs cannot see through.

I have a bunch of scatter terrain but nt sure it would even add up to half a table, but I've got Hangman's noose building some nice building terrain for me at the moment so I might ask him to hurry up and finish a few pieces. If it doesn't matter if it os unfinished and I were to use each level of the building terrain as floor level terrain Iwouldprobably easily fill a six by four. Are we talking about six by four or four by four?

I'm excited that this hasn't filled up. I just heard a rumor that it had. Now I have to paint some more dudes.

Any details on armies yet? Will it be just one list, and do we need to bring any particular specialists for the scenarios?

Yes, we have a tonne of terrain, unfortunately on Infinity nights it never seems like enough!

I do have a heap of aquarium plants that I'm planning on basing for jungle.

We have heaps of base boards, it's really just the scatter terrain for on top. Hopefully if a few different people can bring stuff we'll have a fantastic variety of tables for the tournament.

Even a few buildings would be a help. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to painting buildings so tend to take a while on them... Especially as I'm currently working on the Micro Art Studios buildings and they're so nice I don't want to muck them up.

We're opening up general tickets (for those who don't have terrain to pledge) next weekend. It'll be 16 places plus the terrain pledge places.

Oh, and we're aiming for 4x4's

Thanks!

Maria

Where are we meant to sign up? Under terrain pledge or not?

I'm interested, might be able to grab 1-2 tables of the club terrain from WGoL.

Maria, just a bit of feed-back on the desert table you guys have there. I played on it last night and my quick impression is that it's not very well suited for Infinity. I found the sand dunes on it while they may impead line of sight in one direction, leave it totally exposed from the cut over directions, so that AD troops can far too easily cut down an entire army. The buildings only located in the middle 2 quarters also make the board overly open for snipers and infiltrating figures and putting them into far too defencable positions to deal with. Just my 2 cents, but might be worth looking at...
