Hey everyone, this diary is one I've been wanting to do for a while now. Basically, its going to be for minis that I just want to paint, cos I really like the mini(s). Not necessarily cos I want to wargame with said mini or include it in my army.

So, the 1st cab off the rank is......

Legion of the Damned.

this latest iteration of these models has been my favourite by far... This range has some of the most dynamic poses in all of the citadel SM range. Plus the paint scheme just looks bad a$$. Luckly for me, I got these before they were swapped over to finecast. So, there are 6 in total that I'm going to paint. I plan on hitting them pretty hard this long weekend, in between going to the beach, and probably drinking too much

IPB Image

I had a solid session with them yesterday, and got all of the flames done. I plan on getting the bone done either today or tomorrow, then the weapons, armour and finally details and bases...

IPB Image

Ok, thats it for now... I don't expect this diary to really see a lot of action, but I wanted to create it, as I have a few minis (mostly one offs ) that I want to paint and it wouldn't be appropriate to put them in any of my other diaries...

thanks, John

That flame transition looks excellent.

I can't wait to see how these guys progress - given the quality of your other diaries I'm sure this one will be top notch.

Just a quick WIP of the LotD

there is still quite a bit of work to go on this... but it'll give you an idea of what I'm planning on doing with this

This is a piece I worked on over the long weekend too... just a test piece for a Renegade army... I really like the renegade FW models... I'd like to do an army, it would be such a different looking army, not only in terms of infantry minis, but also the tanks. but it'd be a long way off... just wanted to crank something out to satisfy my own curiosity

Enjoy!

I was quite pleased with the results. I'm going to get a few others made for some other projects I've got in mind. Stay tuned

The LotD

I'll be putting up my next project shortly. It's one of the renegade ogryn from FW. Really looking forward to painting that mini actually

You are ridiculously talented sir. The LotD look great, as does the tank.

Very nice looking models, if only I could find a place for them in a game I would pick some up...

So this is the renegade ogryn that is next on my list to paint. I've always really like the renegade model range, and this mini is one of the better ones... So I've finished cleaning it up this morning and I'm about to undercoat it.

I never realised it had raised numbers on some of its armout panels. I think youd be better off taking the off and using weathered decals or stencils, they just look silly.

More Awesome Sauce from OPR8OR! Love the way that the Chaos symbol on the side of the tank turned out - stencils definitely seem to be the go!

I have to disagree with Sheep on the casting numbers on the Renegade Ogryn's armour plates. IMO they're a cool bit of detail and make it that much more obvious that the plates are ripped from a tank wink.gif
