Announcing Brismachine!

Brismachine is a Warmahordes based independent tournament aimed at bringing together as many gaming clusters as possible in an orgy of mangled metals, teeth and claws.

The inaugural Brismachine tournament will be held at Ennogerra Bowls Club on Saturday October 27th and Sunday October 28th.

Provisional program of events:

Saturday – 50pt standard SR2012 Brismachine Cup –the major tournament of Brismachine with the winner receiving the inaugural Brismachine Trophy of Dominance (trophy not yet created, but will be steampunk goodness – may have a different name). The venue is open until 10pm, which should allow for a definite undefeated champion even if we got 60+ players.

In order to free people up for the night event however, we would cut down to two or four finalists (depending on numbers).

Saturday night – non finalists will have the option of playing in a 20 point Mangled Metal/Tooth and Claw tournament with 3 minute turns! The action will be fast and furious!

Sunday – 35pt standard SR2012 – a four round 35pt event, this one is intended to round out the weekend in style, while still allowing everyone to get home/start driving/to the airport at a reasonable hour.

There will also be free play tables available, where those who prefer a more relaxed gaming experience can quite happily get some games in without the pressure of the clock.

As well as prizes for the above events, there will be a Lucky Door Prize, of a fully painted Farrow army! All you need to do for this one is enter the event to go into the draw. A blog detailing the preparation of this army will be made.

So what is needed to make all this madness happen?

Well, given that I’ll be arranging a first time event with the uncertainty of who exactly will show up, I will need some early commitment in terms of entries to the event. To facilitate this, Brismachine will be offering a tiered payment system, and the cost will increase as we move closer to the event. This is because the sooner I receive entries, the easier it is to turn them into cool extras and prizes for the event. The prices will be (one entry fee works for all events or free play tables throughout the weekend):

Entry before:
1 September - $30
1 October - $40
Up to and including on the day - $50

The first additional prize for the event starts now – Brismachine needs a logo! This competition will close on 30th April, and the prize will be a faction patch of the winner’s choice. The criteria are very complex – it must have the word Brismachine in it, and I will pick the one I like the most. Yes this is me basically bribing one of you fine people to make up for my lack of creative ability.
