They're pretty cool, in a pants-optional kind of way.

GW pricing is now properly FUBAR. Dont really expect it to change so...

How much were the plastic empire great/goldswords when they dropped? $70 for 10?

And the selling point was that there were heaps of bits and pieces left over.

How many bits left over on the 10 for $100 kit?

I like the Drakes, not sure I like the rest of the army. But I'm a much bigger fan of the Elven aesthetic than I am of the brute-ness of these

Man, the more I look at these dwarves the more I like them. The whole neutral alignment thing takes some getting used to but I like the new fluff.
May well grab a box or two to make a small force.

Dwarfs look quite big, 30mm exaggerated? Dwarf players not into aos might end up getting a single mini from a unit from an ebay bits seller to use as a demon slayer or something. I suspect $12-$15 for a plastic demon slayer wouldnt be bad value.

Ok guys let's try and keep it on topic please. It should go without saying that gw prices don't really need to be compared to racial inequality (what the heck Maxi seriously!?!) and I don't need the entire thread derailed bicering about it. Similarly, while price discussion obviously comes up in these threads, lets just accept that we know itll be expensive and not lose our collective minds over it.

Big fan of the dwarves. I've always liked GWs Slayer models and as someone else said, they're a whole lot more dynamic than the old school (yet great) rank and file slayers.

This guy I'm pretty keen on. Will make a nice addition depending on his scale.

Definately not a dwarf, he hasn't got a complete beard!. No moustache and you can see his upper lip!

The artwork on page 2 looks like the dwarf has a food problem or possibly using steroids, looks over inflated.

Dwarves have always used magic. They just call it something else.

Who is using magic? That guy is a priest. He uses some sort of innate/extrinsic other power that is distinct to harnessing the winds of magic.

Dwarves could always use magic but at a price. Usually they harnessed it with runes so it was safe but the Chaos Dwarves used it straight (usually with a magma-style elemental feel to it) but those who did cast it slowly turned to stone from the feet up.

I dont understand why the Dwarf would hold the axe with the axe head facing inwards / backwards.
Is it like some gangsta thing where they hold the pistol sideways ?

I guess they could just flip the axes to face the right way when they enter combat.
