Well a while ago I Decided to start My first major project which will be the Imperial Zoo. the more I look into It the more animals I keep finding in the warhammer world Infact monkeys just came out with the new Empire. I will also look forward to making a few animals of my own Including the Abomination of Stirland and the Spawn of Hochland.
![]() It took a long time to find these and I bought 6 of them. I will need far more cages than this but don't want them to all look the same. ![]() ![]() the Cobble stones aren't finished yet I don't have any gray paint and don't want to mix them up. Plus I might do some more layers later ![]() Well once I finished the cage It was time to put together some animals which as you can see I did they have been under coated and I will start painting them tonight This post has been edited by EmpireGuard: Nov 28 2010, 09:56 PM -------------------- Imperial Zoo at Altdorf

This is an awesome project!!
Have you thought about a reptile house full of swarms? In fact a Stegadon & Rhinox might do well in the do as well!! As for cages - the only thing I can think of is scouring $2 shops like warehouse, clints, reject shop, etc!!! hehehe - just thought you might need a kiosk at the zoo that sells pies and t-shirts! lol! Maybe some street performers? -------------------- On the Work Bench: Always Quar!!, Firestorm Armada, Dystopian Wars, Rebasing all my WHF to Kings of War...

Have you thought about a reptile house full of swarms? In fact a Stegadon & Rhinox might do well in the do as well!! Yes I'm getting some old lizard men swarms of Plaguelord Baldric I also hope to be getting a Stegadon & a Rhinox in the future hehehe - just thought you might need a kiosk at the zoo that sells pies and t-shirts! lol! Maybe some street performers? already thought of that one you'll have to wait and see That's a sweet idea I will also make up some rules for each animal so people can play Mordheim and other such games that actually how i started getting the idea in the first place I was looking at the High rule book and there is a section in the back about fighting invading animals from the forest thought I might get some then when I heard Empire was getting a dragon in the new rule book because of the Zoo the idea of making the Zoo sprang to mind and now I am. It's about time you got off your tail and started this project.
I have put the animals I told you about aside for when you get here tomorrow. Remind me to show you the itty bitty scorpions I have as well. -------------------- Some people are like slinkies: Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs. :D

Looking good.
*EDIT* Love the addition of the meat. The cage interior has come up really well too. As has the bats base. Great work there mate. -------------------- Some people are like slinkies: Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs. :D

G'day!
Great project. Pretty sure the staf at GW Northland built a table with this theme for a Games DAy (remeber those) a couple of years ago! -------------------- 'I see lead people'

I'm not sure who built it but I also saw the imperial zoo at games day a few years ago, looked very good, they used Brettonian men at arms as the 'zoo guards' and had a heap of beasts (including a dragon without wings, a stegadon and a polar bear

That's great Empi. You better put lots of effort into the painting of all your zoo exhibits, because they really deserve it mate. The work you have done at this early stage is great. Keep it up mate. Who knows, maybe I will even get off my lazy ass and come to your place for a change.
