Awesome Kelvin, absolutely awesome.

Cost?

Do you have to use the same faction between qualifiers and finals?

Cost?

I'm not sure. The rego site tells me $12.00 per event but I seem to remember in the last GenConOz newsletter that all miniature events would have a $9.00 cap on them regardless of length.

Yes. (Main post editted.)

EDIT: GenConOz have informed me that all miniature events have a $10 cap per event, regardless of length.

Hmm, just tried to register (having bought my pass), and I can't seem to get any events to show up. I assume they're not available yet or I need help for my muppetitis.

The events should be available very soon to register. GenConOz informed today that they should be available in the next couple of days.

Why not? It's not hard enough to build a list against 100+ caster match ups at 35pts?

Because I dislike everyone meta-gaming their 2 lists for the scenarios you KNOW will come up.

I'd must rather people have to create lists that are reasonably OK over any of the multitude of scenarios that could come up.

Go to GenCon Australia and click the "Register Now!" button at the top, right-hand side of the main page. Register on the system and then select the events you want to play in.

Its possible. There is a player cap of 50 for each event (mainly due to no more than 50 prize packs available for the Nationals and that 28 tables is about the maximum I can do as far as scenery goes; 25 for Slamfest and 3 for the finals).

The point levels of the games have changed for the better so now I'm conflicted...

Probably won't go anyway.

Points levels were changed in part due to the concerns of players - not turning up would be a bit rough sad.gif

Til - only disappointing for people who had their hearts set on 100-point finals - hopefully, the reduced army size will mean a much more epic field of competitors though wink.gif

I should buy a badge for the convention, so I can pick up event tickets as soon as they make it through the GenCon rego system... must also get around to booking flights and accommodation.

Joel - doesn't the GenCon trip coincide with catching up with family in QLD?
